About
Our financial award programme complements our mission to support people through change, challenge or crisis. We know that giving a small grant when it’s needed the most can make a world of difference.
Subject to available funding, the charity can support:
-
Individuals experiencing financial hardship - aimed at people who need a little helping hand to afford basics or replace essentials like a broken washing machine. Together with emotional support this can help individuals and families avoid a bigger crisis and get back on track.
-
Individuals during periods of illness – aimed at people who need additional assistance when they are unwell, such as energy and food costs, travel costs for attending local hospital or other health related appointments, or for health related equipment.
-
The education of the young – aimed at students over the age of 18 to subsidise costs such as tuition fees or the purchase of study materials.
-
Groups or organisations who assist the above – aimed at local organisations who support residents of Holme Lacy.
Each year the charity has a small income for this purpose, and the trustees would like to hear from any permanent resident of Holme Lacy who thinks they would like to be considered as qualifying for consideration. We will also consider applications from organisations who support residents of Holme Lacy.
Applications will be considered from:
-
Permanent residents of Holme Lacy Parish.
-
Children of residents who are in full time ‘university level’ education and are over the age of 18.
-
Local organisations who support residents of Holme Lacy Parish.
-
Other, exceptional circumstances may also be considered.
If you feel you meet the criteria above then please apply for funding using our online application.
The closing date for applications is 31 October annually.
Applicants will be notified of the trustee’s decision, which is final.
